The Independent Schools Association (ISA) holds an annual National Gymnastics Championships for its member schools. The one day competition encompasses both girls and boys of primary school age ie Under 11 and Under 9. The championships are usually held in May.
All team members perform on four disciplines: set floor & set vault, plus voluntary floor and voluntary vault. The scores are then totalled to give a team score and also individual scores. Rules are mainly based on the I.S.G.A. 4 Piece competition, except for the Set Vault which is a Through Vault.
There is also a separate synchronised Group Sequence competition for girls in both age groups, if time allows.
An Over 11 girls’ salver is competed for by invitation, if time and space allows.
