The ISGA Under 13, 15 & Over 13 PREMIER CHAMPIONSHIPS SET FLOOR
This video gives a visual idea of how the sequence should be performed. It is only an aid
and the detailed wording in the rules should be referred to.
Notes on the video:
1. Good posture with tension is shown for 3 seconds.
This is held for 3 seconds and shows good tension and posture.
2. Spin 540°.
The spin is performed on her toes with free leg high and toe to knee, finishing in front
with foot turned out. The back foot is extended with the toe pointed behind on the floor.
The arms are optional in the spin and they have finished in a high V position above her
head. However there was an under rotation of the 540° which will receive a deduction.
3. Backward roll to front support.
The gymnast joins her back foot to her front foot and takes her arms to a parallel
position above her head. She performs the backward roll to front support with straight
legs but it may also be performed with bent legs. In the front support her hands are
facing forwards, and are shoulder width apart. Her chest is rounded with her body
straight and her head in line with her body. It is held for 3 seconds. She did perform
the skill with straight arms so will receive the bonus.
4. 180° high straight jump.
After she squats in, she immediately performs a high, straight 180° jump to land
securely.
5. Round off, Straight jump 180° to land on one foot, into a Cartwheel ¼ turn
inwards to lunge.
The gymnast does jump forwards into a hurdle step before performing the round off
and shows some stretch in the 180° straight jump turn. There are no pauses between
the skills and she finishes in a lunge with her chest high and her arms in a high V
position. However the hands are a little wide in the round off and there could be more
rebound. There could also be more height in the jump and there is a wobble on the
landing of the cartwheel. All of these will receive deductions. There would be no bonus
for dynamics but she would get a bonus for the flight into the Cartwheel
6. Upright arabesque.
She joined her back foot to the front foot and took her arms out to the side to perform
an arabesque. Her leg is above 45° but it is out to the side a little rather than straight at
the back so will receive a deduction. It is held for 3 seconds but there is a little jump as
she closes her feet so will receive a deduction. The back leg does not reach 90° so she
will not receive the bonus.
7. Forward roll into a dish position.
A squat position with a straight back and arms stretched in front is shown before the
forward roll to dish position. The dish position is not held stationary for 3 seconds. The
feet are too low as are the hands and the shoulders are not off the floor. These will all
receive a deduction.
8. Free V-sit position.
The legs may be tucked whilst torso is raised into a free V-sit. This gymnast keeps her
legs straight whilst raising them so will receive the bonus. The V-sit is equilateral and
she has a her arms straight and in a low V-position not touching her legs. It is held for 3
seconds,
9. Unsupported shoulder stand roll down into immediate 360° Straight Jump.
The gymnast lowers straight legs onto the floor into a long sit position. Her arms are in
front of her, however he arm position here is optional. She rolls back with straight legs
into an unsupported shoulder stand. The arms should be straight on the floor by hips.
This gymnast has her arms above her head so will receive a bonus but will also receive
a deduction for bent legs. It is held for 3 seconds. She rolls down and into an
immediate high 360° straight jump. She will also receive a bonus for her secure
landing.
10. Handstand Forward Roll, immediate Split Jump.
She does step immediately into the handstand before rolling out and into the split jump,
finishing with her arms in a high V position above her head. The handstand is not held
for a full 2 seconds so she will not receive that bonus but will receive the bonus for
straight arms. The split jump does not quite reach a 180° split and both legs are out to
the side so there would be deductions for both of those. But she will receive the bonus
for height in the jump..
This gymnast received 7 of the 10 bonuses.
